Summary

Problem solving is an important skill for everyone, no matter how old a person is. A problem is a situation, in which a person tries to find a solution and does not exactly know how but still tries to solve it. Learning problem solving skills is about how a young person approaches a problem, no matter how small or large it is.

When children are not equipped with appropriate problem-solving skills, they tend to avoid situations and activities that feel challenging to them. It can have a huge impact on their ability to form and maintain relationships with peers, feel good and be successful in a school environment, and pursue their hobbies and interests.
