Summary

Every person is unique. In our relationship and contact with others, we recognize, develop, and confirm our uniqueness. Knowing how we are with others and how others are with us helps us to truly know ourselves. Self-image is a personal, unconscious mental picture that represents the characteristics of the self, such as intelligence, beauty, ugliness, talent, selfishness, and kindness. These characteristics form a collective representation of our strengths and weaknesses.

Self-image affects how we feel about ourselves and how we interact with others and the world around us, so it is very important to work on our physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. To know our inner self is to know our purpose, values, vision, goals, motivations, and beliefs, not what we have been told by others (parents, family members, teachers, friends) but what we have discovered for ourselves.
