As children grow up, new demands are placed on them. Their cognitive, emotional and social development becomes more complex, which means developing new capacities, mastering new skills or upgrading existing ones. During this period, the child is expected to suppress the immediate satisfaction of impulses, to take into account the needs of others, and to develop a sense of diligence in accordance with new experiences and requirements of the school. The social environment is enriched and expanded, which implies more complex socio-emotional development. In addition to adopting work habits, peer groups expand into school and recreational contexts, which implies good adjustment and fitting into peer groups. The range of emotions expands as do the ways of mastering them.
